MODEM - ROUTER -SWITCH

The three primary components which bring internet access into our homes are modems, routers and switches. The modem is often provided by your ISP—internet service provider—and connects your Maricopa, AZ home to the internet. The modem connects to a router which creates and manages your network—often referred to as your LAN or local area network. Ethernet switches provide additional wired connections to your network, for instance in your home office.

WIFI ACCESS POINTS

Wireless access points—WAPs—are the devices that proved Wi-Fi coverage within and outside your home. As they say in the business, “there is no substitute for copper.”

While it is not a concern for a studio apartment, if you live in a penthouse, you will likely have outdoor spaces that need Wi-Fi coverage. In the suburbs, you may even have a very large outdoor area that requires coverage.
